Raw materials we use
Kellogg (Aust) Pty. Ltd. buys Australian grown and manufactured raw materials and packaging by preference.
Due to seasonal factors and ingredient availability a small percentage of raw materials are sourced outside the country, including cocoa powder, some fruits, nuts and flavours. The company has strict specifications for all raw materials and packaging and works closely with suppliers on the continuous improvement of quality and value of materials. The quality and specific attributes of the grains used in Kellogg's® products is extremely important to achieve the high standards of our finished foods . Many grains are planted from a selected range of varieties, which have been developed with properties most suitable for the products in which they are used.
While variations in climate can produce variations in characteristics of each variety, the selection process and quality tests assure the most appropriate material is sourced.
